The People Behind  The Prescriptions

Meet Our Team Behind every prescription we prepare is a team that takes the work personally. Our pharmacists, technicians, and support staff bring decades of combined experience to every patient interaction, and we believe the care you receive should match the care that goes into your medication.

Whether you’re calling with a question, stopping in to pick up a prescription, or working with us as a healthcare provider, you’ll always reach a real person who knows your situation. That’s the Pharmacy Solutions difference.

Background and Perspective

I had always been interested in Science and Mathematics, so when I explored the profession of Pharmacy, it felt like a natural fit.  My early experience was in independent retail, so I learned many skills. Seeking a more professional environment after about 15 years, I did long term care consultation for a couple of years and eventually ended up in a major chain retail environment.  This was the worst experience I had in the profession and was very fortunate to make my way into compounding pharmacy.

Compounding has allowed me to expand my ability to help patients by customizing therapies and recommending alternatives including supplements. I have found it to be the most rewarding part of my career.  Counseling patients on new medications is my favorite thing to do at work.  I have found that developing a personal connection to my patients appears to be helpful and informative to them but rewarding to me as well.

As I approach 50 years as a licensed Pharmacist, I find it difficult to believe the changes to the profession. From banging out labels on a manual typewriter to today’s computer systems. From being required to have permission to put the name of a medicine on the label to now being required to counsel patients on what they need to know, we as a profession, have come a very long way.

Background and Perspective

My path to Pharmacy Solutions started before I even graduated college. During breaks from Texas A&M, I worked as a patient care specialist in the front of the pharmacy and quickly fell in love with the environment – the people, the mission, and the way everyone genuinely cared about the patients they were serving. When I graduated in 2023, joining the team full-time felt like a natural next step.

In my role as a Market Development Representative, my favorite part of the job is the relationships. I don’t see myself as just another rep showing up in a provider’s inbox or office, I want to be a resource. Whether I’m introducing a provider to our compounding capabilities or helping connect a patient or family member with the right practitioner, my goal is always to make someone’s path to better health a little easier.

One of the things I’ve come to appreciate most is how many different areas of care can come together to support a patient’s overall wellness. Over the past couple of years I’ve learned so much, not just about compounded medications themselves, but about supplements, hormone health, peptides, and so many emerging therapies that are reshaping what personalized medicine looks like. Compounding is an ever-changing landscape, and I genuinely love keeping up with it.

I learn just as much from the providers I work with as I do from our pharmacists, and that keeps me engaged every single day. At the end of the day, the work feels meaningful because it is – and I’m grateful to be part of a team that has been showing up for patients and practitioners for over 35 years.

Oncology Support – Provider Relations – Compounding Pharmacy Solutions

Background and Perspective

I was first introduced to compounding pharmacy through conversations about BHRT and personalized treatment approaches during my own exploration of wellness and hormone health. What started as an introduction to a different side of pharmacy eventually became a genuine interest in the collaborative nature of compounding and the role it can play in supporting both practitioners and patients. I joined Pharmacy Solutions two years ago and have since focused on helping providers navigate pharmacy support across a wide range of specialties, with a primary focus in oncology and adjunctive care.

What has kept me engaged in the work is the opportunity to build strong relationships with practitioners and help simplify complex patient situations through communication, responsiveness, and individualized support. I especially value the collaborative aspect of oncology and integrative care, where no two patients or treatment approaches are exactly alike. The conversations with providers and the ability to help coordinate practical solutions continue to be the part of the work I value most.
